Why Adaptive Trial Design Is Considered More Successful In The Clinical Trial?

Every clinical trial conducted aims to be an adaptive trail expert and even the regulatory authorities like FDA are more receptive to the adaptive trial design. The adaptive trial design is implemented in phase I and phase II stages of the medical trial. The focus has turned out from phase III trials to phase II and phase I trials because the earlier one decides the right dosage of the medication and the later one deals with the safety.

The adaptive trials in Phase I and Phase II helps the researcher for successful completion of Phase III trials. The adaptive trials serve the best when the researcher does not know enough at the beginning of a trial to design it with confidence. Getting the right dose and safety measures through phase I and Phase II trials helps in successful completion of expensive phase III trials at affordable cost in shortest time possible.
